Every year more scaling companies require better data management solutions rather than Excel spreadsheets and piecemeal apps to eliminate data loss.

This led Fieldshare to come up with collaborative platform with modular data architecture.

The goal was to redesign and optimize the existing managing experience, enabling users to store and effectively search data related to the field work.

Understanding the problem

Scaling companies are experiencing an exponential increase in the volume of data that is getting out of control. (Google Drive, Excel, One Drive, Dropbox, etc)

Efficient handling of maintenance issues has been lacking, often it requires communication among multiple teams and contractors to stay informed of individual tasks. In most cases, the data get duplicated or remain deficient creating financial loss for companies.

The concept is to come up with structured architecture that solve the problems that each company has like costs, forms, files, maps and status which will define "Modules" that could be individually customized by company.

The sum of the interrelated data gives us a formula "Template → Project → Modules" with advanced filtering system in between layers and on top of everything, enabling users to search by any project's criteria.

The "Template" is a fundamental guideline for a company to start building projects and collecting data in the modules. Each template, project or module can be displayed in 3 different views.

The algorithm is coming together. Fully scalable and customizable templates & modules. Projects segmented by modules.

Example of a project's data represented on the map. Each marker, area, line comes from specific layer that can be filtered and searched.

Example of data interrelation in the field work. Each form entry can be attached to materials and data collected by a field worker or manager and then included in the printed report.
